Artist Statement

I approach my work with the eyes of a colorist, drawing out natural images and patterns from my inner landscape. Inspired by natural forms, the focus of my work is an emotional interplay of color, textures, and intuitive marks within the energetic field of a composition.

I rarely work directly from visual cues, but always guided by intuitive urges and emotional influences while listening to what the work is trying to tell me. My oil paintings and pastel works are records of my inner journey of connections and revelation; resulting in the understanding of the spiritual plane.

My creative process of marking out the plane’s surface with an interplay of intense colors, intuitive marks and energetic textures, is based on my inner dialogue of “self” and instinctive power that is beyond my knowing. This personal spiritual exploration has been internal guidance in directing my artistic path.
