Biography

Carling Wong-Renger is a Vancouver based artist and designer. Born in Hong Kong and came to Vancouver, Canada as a young teenager. Started to draw at a very young age and doodled whenever she had a chance. Received a watercolor kit as a Christmas present at age 10, and since then hasn’t stopped painting. Sent to an art academy for instruction in traditional Western painting. Took up Chinese brush painting with a Chinese painter. Worked as a graphic designer after graduating from Emily Carr University more than two decades ago. Now she is back to what she loves to do most, drawing and painting.
